Here's an, intermission

Listen now,
How did you,
Find the time
To, lean back and listen to,
This lime rhyme
Open eyes
Twisted clowns and cream filled pies
These, piles of blue collared ties
And pocket filled lies
Worn by the man who, dies
Tries, but, doesn't know how to, strive,
Doesn't know how to, survive
Can't live
Can't feel
Blood current air
Fresh picked pair
Feathered lair
And they're twins,
Shirts blood-stained sins
Tries, but cannot,
Will not, win
From the lands, he's been
His head's a bad show of,
Great depression, he's just to low, on
The food chain
Tears fall like rain
And he wears his pain
Yellow star on his bosom
Mellow left, forearm, number
His histories crumbled
Through his fingers
Memories haunt and linger
And he needs an, intermission--

There's a breath, and war premonitions
Listen to
The tongue in his voice
The fact that he had no choice
Dug a hole
Sold his soul
The body that rolled,
Into his hole--
Dove around the corner
And now he's got a, cold shoulder
Because he, couldn't hold on to her
For another; day, hour, minute, second
Lines pulled opposite and beckoned
That it was her turn to die
Lies burned alive
In the oven, left the world--
And left in his head--
Kicking and screaming
Ashes and smoke streaming,
Up . . . up,
But your lips,
Hush . . . Hush . . .
No more fuss, so their's no need to rush
His words, now he's a story teller
Fell deep and hard for her
So now he shares
But does not dare
Let the world forget,
Pure white Arian
Swastika stained
Blond haired
Blue eyed
German boys
He says, forgive
But he never forgets
And wishes he wouldn't let,
His forgiveness go so freely
Because, you see
He can't let go--
So--
We'll, listen to his words
And then,
Give him, an intermission
Don't know what to say . . .
